Simple simple questions...

Simple simple questions...

Postby Grandmastablank » Wed Feb 08, 2012 2:41 pm

Hey guys, me and my buddies are 100% new to fantasy baseball, and I have a couple questions that are probably pretty silly....

Were doing a 5x5 roto league, are the points tallied every day? Or week? Etc....

It has a default minimum IP of 1000. So is that by the end of the season for all our pitchers combined? As if isn't reached does the system go back and put a team in last place for the appropriate pitcher stats for every time it was tallied? (which relates to the first question, how often are the stats tallied and points awarded).

Sorry if these questions seem kind of dumb, any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks a lot!!

Stats are tallied every day and will be reflected on your league standings the following morning.

The IP max is adjusted every day is a season long max for all your pitchers combined. You total IP to date will be updated every day as well, so you always know how many you have left. If you don't use up all the innings available to you nothing happens, so what most guys do is try to ride a little bit ahead of the pace over the first 2/3s of the season because you'll often see guys on innings limits and whatnot who won't pitch as much later in the season. Plus there's injuries ect ect. Anyway, yahoo (or ESPN or whatever) will track this stuff for you.

Good luck in your first fantasy season. ;-D

it says 1000 IP minimum, not maximum. if you don't reach 1000 total innings over the course of your season, you'll automatically get last (one point) in all pitching roto categories. like fenris said, some leagues have inning pitch maximums, and after you reach that number, you no longer accumulate stats. either way, your stats are tallied every day, and you'll see daily shifts in the standings.
