Looking for a little sanity check on my keeper choices. I'm in a 10 team mixer with robust scoring categories (R, HR, RBI, SB, CS, AVG, OBS, Errors, FPCT, K and W, L, ERA, K, SV, H, BSV, WHIP, QS, CG). We keep 3 players in leiu of our first 3 rounds. We can keep less and get those picks back, if desired.
I don't have any top 10 players, but I have a number of top 50 and some really good young studs. Thus my dilemma is whether I stick with the top players based on their ADP, or if I go young and try to be dominant in a few years.
Here is my team: JP Arencibia Eric Hosmer Paul Goldschmidt Mark Trumbo Dan Uggla Jose Reyes JJ Hardy Brett Lawrie Mark Reynolds Josh Hamilton Alex Gordon Adam Lind Mike Trout Drew Stubbs Felix Hernandez Jared Weaver David Price Matt Moore Madison Bumgarner Brandon Morrow Wandy Rodriguez Josh Johnson Max Scherzer Javier Vazquez
Really my dilemma is whether to go Reyes/Hamilton/Hernandez or Hosmer/Lawrie/Moore. Thoughts?

Well your team is loaded with young studs. To help, maybe take guys in thin positions (like 3B or C) maybe that can narrow down your choices. Or like you said, decide if you want to win now or try in a couple years. Either way, with those guys I think you can do both.
Not even close to me. You can't drop those 3 , no matter how enticing the other 3 are.
pretty much this.
Yup. It's not like any of these guys are in their last season before retirement anyways. Limited keeper leagues like this, go with the best player available.

Yep. Only keeping 3 guys, you go with the proven talent every time. And Reyes is, what, 28? Felix is only 25, scary as that is. It's not like these guys are geriatrics.

For what its worth, I'd def. go with Hernandez. I may be a little crazy, but I'm not sold on Reyes & Hamilton. I would almost take the chance on Lawrie & Hosmer. This also depends on the league rules though- budget etc. Just my 2 cents.
