Thoughts on my keepers

Hey guys, I'm new on here, but this is exactly the type of site I have been looking for. I am in a 9 team NL-only keeper league. We keep 8 major's and 8 minors. We do a draft using $26 and have to fill the typical spots of C= 2, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, MI, CI, OF=5, U, and P=9. This will be my 3rd season in league (took over for a team that left...was very crappy).

Upton is the only guy that I originally had on my team. I had traded him, but ended up getting him back. The rest I have had to do a LOT of wheeling and dealing!

Well I am assuming this is a Roto league not HTH. I think they are pretty solid keepers for your special league.

you should have the top offense in the league, now you need to spend every $ on pitching, which should be do-able. for a proper evaluation of your roster, the prices accociated with them should also be included

We are a typical 5X5 Roto. Only instead of $260 we use $26 and then $3 for the minors. For the keeper portion, from year to year we can only keep up to $2 for the minor league and of course whatever you want in the major's. This year, we are adding in a 2 round AL draft. The prices for the AL guys are set in stone, no auctions. We are using a site that has a baseball calculator to figure out the AL cost. Also with the AL we have to pick 1 pitcher and 1 hitter (or you can pass of course).

This will be my 3rd year in the league. The first year I took last- didn't fully understand some of the payout rules and drafted differently. Last year, I took 3rd. I was in 1st almost then entire year, then my P's got hurt and I was stuck having guys like Edward Mujica, Fernando Rodriguez, and Barry Zito as my pitchers.
