How big and what kind of league is this?

Overall, your offense looks very solid. I would start Kearns over Matsui though.

Your pitching is good, but has some question marks. Padilla and Penny are injury risks. Weaver, Byrd and Hampton are all players that might have great years, but might just as well struggle for various reasons. Of the three, I like Weaver the best - if he can hold onto his starting spot and keep the ERA around 4, then he might see 15 wins. (I hate to admit it, but I'm a closet Weaver fan - when he got traded to the Yankees I thought a Cy Young was in his future. Given that I clearly am overrating him, I have set a rule for myself that I'm not allowed to draft him ;-) .)

Consider trading some of your power for another quality starting pitcher. You could probably trade Aaron Boone for someone like Moyer. He's not flashy, but he's solid.

This is a small private points league, with knowledgable managers...

I think you are very solid with this lineup! I predict a championship for that roster barring catastrophic injury. The only weaknees is shallow depth at SP...
