Anyone interested in the first pick in the draft? Can we still trade even after the roster freeze? If not that's cool. I am willing to move the first pick if I can. The deal needs to be right, but if you have a guy you want trade with me and you can surely get him.

You can't assign players to draft slots on Couchmanagers. So looks like we're staying here...

No, he hasn't, and that's why I was hoping we could do Couchmanagers. With that out of the picture, I guess we'll need to start ASAP here.

Without Free checking in, we'll have to find a replacement or someone to at least draft for him. I'll send out a few feelers to see if I can get someone lined up.

With that in mind, let's plan on starting the draft either tomorrow or Sunday - as soon as I can find someone. Is that OK with everyone?

At this point, you can trade picks or keepers. Keepers have been officially declared, so you really don't own anyone except the 5 you kept.

We were, but new circumstances make that difficult. Any replacement would need to first declare keepers and also get up to speed on the league and its rules.

I've contacted a few people and also made posts in the 'Holics and Classifieds forums, so as soon as we find a capable replacement, we can get things going. The speed of that process, however, will dictate when we begin.

Sounds good Fade. I'd rather take at least a few days finding a good replacement manager than rushing the start of the draft now. Btw, thx to you for all your work so far.

Well that was fast.

We have our replacement, none other than everyone's favorite moon and home of the Ewoks - Ender.

Yes, Ender will be taking over for Free. Welcome aboard.

So with that being said, we're ready to begin the draft. I want to give Ender the opportunity to post his keepers and get situated before we begin, so let's make the official start date tomorrow at noon EST. I'll make the Round 1 thread later tonight, and people can begin at their leisure, with the draft officially starting (along with the 12 hour clock) tomorrow at noon.

By the way, is everyone ok with the 12 hour time limit? I do not want to expand it considering the size of the league and rosters, but I'd be fine if we wanted to acknowledge a time overnight when the clock is running.
