No! Carlos Gomez is Lorenzo Cain-light. There is a difference.

Gomez is more of a swing at everything type of player. I mostly picked Eaton just because they are both completely unknown and had speed though. Looking over last years leader boards going deep into the peripherals the player I see that was most like Hicks was probably Shin-Soo Choo. That is what I'd expect him to grow into in the next couple years only with more speed. As a rookie you obviously never know what you are gonna get which is why he is a bench guy

I didn't mean those two as a career comparisons, but more in regards to the type of fantasy statistics one could expect this season - low BA and middling power, but also nice speed.
But if we're talking actual hitter comps, Choo is not a bad one, except I still don't see Hicks as ever developing the hit-tool that Choo has. Honestly, I think Hicks will end up with a career BA around .265 in MLB. But I still like Hicks a lot as a prospect, and while we're talking about former Indians, I truly think the best future comp for him is Grady Sizemore. Albeit with a bit less power (and hopefully more durability), I see them with very similar skill sets.
