Everything has been decided, so everyone can go ahead and begin declaring keepers if you wish. Once everyone has keepers declared, we can begin the draft. Again, preliminary draft begin date is 2/18.

Recap
Escalating and Sliding Keeper Penalties:
1st - 5th - Pick escalates 1 round per year.
6th - 11th - Pick escalates 2 rounds per year.
12th - 20th - Pick escalates 3 rounds per year.
21st - 26th - Pick escalates 4 rounds per year.

No limit on # of 1st Round keepers.

Keeper penalties begin immediately. Use the scale above when declaring keepers. I'll be double checking everyone's figures to guarantee accuracy.

FA keepers will start at Round 15 the following year (like normal). Second year they are kept is when keeper penalties apply (15th to 12th).

Don't sell yourself short. You're all marginally better than cats.

Sorry guys it's been a crazy week and I haven't had much time to get into everything yet. I'll take a look at my keepers and everything within the next couple days and reply to trade offers in short order.

Thanks Zep. ;-D

With everyone seemingly checked in, looks like we're ready to roll. Let's try to have all keepers decided and in place by 11:59 PM Friday. That will give us a day or two to mark off the taken players.

Any preference on time for the draft clock? Any objection to 8 hours?

8 hours with the clock off between midnight EST & 8 AM EST?

If anyone's interested, I'm I'd be willing to move Longoria. I have Miggy and him at 3B and I feel as if one of them will be wasted.

No reasonable offer will be ignored. B-)

Edit:

Sorry, I forgot to answer. ;-D Honestly, I'd rather just do a straight 8 hours with no suspension of the clock. Generally we start with 12 hours, but I thought there were far too many incidents of people using their whole allotted time. With 14 teams and deep rosters, we can't afford to do that again. A shorter clock encourages people to send others their picks, which becomes necessary as the draft moves forward.

I don't mind if we start with 12, but we're going to have to move it to 8 sooner rather than later if we see people using the whole clock too often.

straight 8 hours is probably pushing things a little bit. Works for me since I can check my guys at work and I'd like to be deep in the draft before we go to Vegas in a couple weeks.

8 hrs is fine. Just send a list to someone if it's close to your pick or just make an concerted effort to get here.

If you are gonna run 12 hr picks there will be guys that waste that time from the get-go cause they don't really care. Make an effort to get here or send a list. It's not that hard.
