I was in touch with Aqua today and he definitely wants to defend his title

How were you able to contact him? He's welcome to take over his team, but I'm still going to place the same deadline on him. He'll need to check-in here at the Cafe.

He responded to a PM that I sent him. He said he's been really busy with some real world stuff, I'll send him another PM with more detailed instructions about checking in and tell him to do so ASAP.

Mind renewing the league on Yahoo? All but Dave_Knight are coming back, and it'd be easier instead of getting everyone's emails. Then we can just remove Dave and invite BigLebowski, and you can make me commish or co-commish and go from there.

As a reminder, keepers are due tomorrow by 11:59 pm. Most of you already have your preliminary lists posted, but make sure you make them final by sometime tomorrow. We'll be starting the slow draft here at the Cafe this Friday (2/17) at noon EST.

We're also still having problems with the forum being able to make or remove stickies. BK has indicated that this is a forum-wide issue, so at least we are not alone. We'll just have to ignore the old stickied topics at the top - a minor inconvenience.

Also Aqua - Lincecum was drafted last year by Jags, so he'll obviously cost you your Round 2 pick.

You're the schmo! My first PM was sent to you 3 1/2 weeks ago, and it wasn't until the day before keepers are due that you actually made a post here at the Cafe. Had to at least prepare that you were going to be a no-schmo.

I posted my keepers the other day. Just been busy, that's all. Ready to defend.

Ok everyone! We're almost ready to go. Everyone has their keepers in except Free. I emailed him yesterday to remind him of the deadlines. I did take a look at his roster and his keepers look pretty clear-cut to me. I don't want to speak for him, but for those of you doing draft prep, might as well take these players off the board:

As we move closer to the draft starting Friday, please make sure you keep your roster updated in the 2012 Rosters thread, and also verify that I have your keepers and rounds correct in the 2012 Draft Results thread. If anything is off, let me know.

We're going to start with a 24-hour clock when the draft starts. We'll officially start the draft Friday at noon EST, but I'll make the Round 1 thread on Thursday night and those who are ready can begin making their picks if they so choose.

Lastly, since Jags is the co-commish on Yahoo! and has offered to continue to help, I PM'd BK to make him also moderator of our forum again. Between us, we should be able to keep all the relevant threads updated. If not, I'll make someone else a moderator so we have full coverage.
