Keepers Question

Postby chillpony » Wed Feb 01, 2012 8:38 pm

Hey everyone I am banking on pitching being around, and kind of bloated like last year. I was last in my league and traded Weaver for Carl Crawford.
We have 2 Minor league spots (I have Trout and Pomeranz) so I hope I can keep them on my roster too. If not, I will keep Trout for sure.

Who do I use my 5th on, if Trout isn't in the minors beginning of season. I take him. If not though, who (Hart, Ethier, Billingsley, Johnson?)

Here is my current plan for keepers:

Joey Votto
Mark Teixera
Nelson Cruz
Carl Crawford

Here is the rest of my team from last year:
Pedro Alvarez
Yuniel Escobar
Corey Hart
Andre Ethier

Pitchers:
Colby lewis
Chad Billingsley
Ricky Nolasco
Matt Harrison
Josh Johnson (DL)
Soria
Chris Perez

Minor Leaguers:
Drew Pomeranz
Mike Trout

I'm taking JJ there. Hart, Ethier, Billingsley all seem kind of "meh" to me, so I'll take the guy that could contend for a Cy Young if his shoulder stays together.

Thanks man. It would be nice to have a top tier pitcher, High risk post surgery, but potential high reward too... Those other options, I listed, and Alvarez being a complete underachiever killed me last year.

If you want an arm Johnson is your man like you said low risk high reward with him. When healthy he is a stud. If you want a bat I would go with Hart. He may not be exciting but he gets the job done as a second or third OF.

I like Corey Hart quite a bit more than anyone else on that list.

I too like Corey Hart quite a bit more than the others. JJ? Let someone else ride that rollercoaster.

Give me JJ. While he has plenty of problems, his upside his huge. Hart is an average OF with little upside, something you should be able fill in the draft
