16 team, mixed, auction type league, with 23 man rosters and 5 man minors squad, $300 total cap space, points league where pitchers are weighted slightly heavier than hitters because you can kinda stream your staff.
Can keep as many players from year to year with their salary going up $3 each year if kept. Who out of the following should I keep? Prices are already adjusted for the $3 increase. Thanks.
Hanley-$63 Miggy-$55 McCutchen-$34 Pence-$21 Neil Walker-$16 Rasmus-$15 Hart-$14 Tabata-$11 Sean Rodriguez-$10 Soriano-$7 Olivo-$7 Hosmer-$5 Maybin-$5 Joyce-$4
That would be 184 bucks for 11 players and I would have 116 dollars for 12 players to fill the roster? I think I have to keep Cutch and Lee and Price. Any other opinions?
I would not keep Matt Joyce. he was good in the 1st half last year (.290/.351/.513/.864) but not so much in the 2nd (.259/.341/.430/.771). isn't he more the type you can find on waivers, even in a deep league. or because he is so cheap is it worth keeping him? I myself wouldn;t expect him to do what he did last season. but I could be wrong.
is Corey Hart too much money? he should continue his numbers in 2012. player wise I'd much rather have Hart than Joyce, but I'm not sure how to factor in the money.

I'd cut Joyce loose in favor of Hart and possibly keep Collmenter at that low price of $4....

I'm not all that savy in the auction type leagues, but to me I think the guys I would probably retain would be Miggy, McCutchen, Hosmer, Price, Lee, Lowe and Norris. I say Norris due to how many K's he managed to get last year. His ERA wasn't the greatest, but he really helped me in that category last year.
Agree with these ones... Also think you need to take a serious look at Miggy... Would you want him? I think in the draft depending on the amount of 1st basemen left that he will go right around that number for you... So basically if you were going to go into the draft wanting to get Miggy, then keep him for that much... That way you assure yourself of a player that will be 1st base and 3rd base eligible...
