Price, Uggla, McCann, Konerko. 16 team. pick who?

my first time in a keeper league.
(protect 10. time to make trades. keep 5 before the draft).
4 teams eliminated last season. 4 new teams have an expansion draft to pick from the players of the eliminated teams. there's really no one that jumps out OMG this player for sure!
I pick 3rd of 4 teams. (already picked Carlos Santana, Alex Gordon).
these are the players available for my first pick.
SP- David Price.
2B- Dan Uggla.
CA- Brian McCann
1B- Paul Konerko
2B- Chase Utley
SS- Asdrubal Cabrera
OF- Adam Jones
1B/3B- Kevon Youkilis
SP- Adam Wainwright

who should I pick?
(after I pick the 4th team has 2 picks before I get to pick again)

I would target David Price with your 1st pick. He is young, still improving, front line starter, and makes a good keeper option for the long term. He is the standout on that list IMO.

For the next pick, things are tougher. I could see drafting Konerko, Cabrera, or Youkiliks because of their position. But all carry some risk (age, real breakout?, injury prone). Adam Jones is also a tempting pick, but you have Gordon in the OF already. And with 16 teams it may be better to hammer down the shallower positions.

Agreed. If Uggla's gone, I'd say McCann then Jones. The others have too many question marks (age, injury etc.)

I read it wrong, my bad. Price is #1, then I could see Konerko, Jones, or McCann being selected with your next pick.
