I think it's fine, basically guaranteed elite 3-category contribution from a second baseman, and I don't think his average will hurt too bad this year.
It's not the average, it's the total lack of speed that I wasn't planning on dealing with this early.
you have 80+ stolen bases in your first three picks, I think you can handle it.

Hahahahaha I think I'm right at 80, but I set certain numbers that I wanted to get to for these 5 picks, I think I'll be close but Uggla's 1 SB won't help.

I think he's probably appropriately placed. I just want no part of him there. I'd rather have Hosmer, and if I were to do a little more research into his health, I'd probably prefer Crawford as well. I also prefer Phillips and Price over him. I love Santana and have owned him the last two years, but look at the other Catchers still on the board and who will presumably remain there for the next round or two or even three, and I think I can get better value at 4.09.

I think Hosmer will do big things this year, happy to have him at 1B. I think I dropped the ball though, knew I could have gotten him on the way back but didn't see anyone I'd particularly want more so I went with him. Then I remember Carl Crawford was still there.

From what I've seen that's about where he seems to going, but I just can't pull the trigger on a catcher this early.

Nothing wrong with taking him there. If you could guarantee me he plays 150 games I would have taken him. I have concerns about taking any catcher this early because they get so beat up.
three guys i really wanted there, curious if they'll even get drafted though. i think Haren is the last guy in the Weaver/Price tier of pitchers and it felt like a good time to grab him.
I was deciding between Cruz and Andrus at my final slot. I figured Cruz' upside was nearly unparalleled at this point in the draft. I'll pencil him in for about ~125 games, .270/30 HRs/10 SBs with the potential to have 2nd round value if he can stay in the lineup for 140+ games. My team lacks some speed, but that's generally what I expect through the early rounds. I definitely would have snagged Crawford over Cruz had he been available, but I'm happy with Cruz there.
