Mock Draft Commentary

I was deciding between Cruz and Andrus at my final slot. I figured Cruz' upside was nearly unparalleled at this point in the draft. I'll pencil him in for about ~125 games, .270/30 HRs/10 SBs with the potential to have 2nd round value if he can stay in the lineup for 140+ games. My team lacks some speed, but that's generally what I expect through the early rounds. I definitely would have snagged Crawford over Cruz had he been available, but I'm happy with Cruz there.

I was pretty close to taking Cruz, but I felt like there would be a decent drop off at pitcher between this pick and the pick I would normally have in the 6th round.

Same feeling I have about picking Weeks. He has a little less power then Cruz but I'll gladly take my chances with him at 2B.
