Dispersal Draft Help! WHIR

Postby millerpark » Sat Jan 28, 2012 2:33 pm

Hello all!
I took over a team for scorsheet and there are 8 new owners so we are having a dispersal draft while the other 12 teams stay idle till we catch up.I was lucky to get the #1 pick so I gladly took Roy Halladay. We are drafting 10 RDs to start.
I have 9 picks ahead of me yet but I get B2B picks..

Now my question is who would you take next?

SP:
Brandon Webb
Alexi Ogando
Rick Porcello

C:
Ryan Lavarnway

1B:
Mitch Moreland
Justin Smoak
Gabby Snachez

2B:
Jason Kipinis

3B:
Alex Rodriguez

SS:
Jed Lowrie
Alexi Ramirez

OF:
Peter Bourjos
Delmon Young
Chris Young
Colby Rasmus
Grady Sizemore
Shin-Soo Choo

Pick the best two players available. Here's a rough ranking of what I think are a clear top 13, you'll be picking two from at least four of them.

Granderson
Wright
Holliday
Lawrie
Lee
Phillips
A-Rod
Andrus
Price
Gordon
Jones
Alexei
Posey

With your next two picks I would target any of these guys (listed 11 since you will have 10th plus 11th pick)-

David Price
Cliff Lee
Buster Posey
Jason Kipinis
Brett Lawrie
Alex Rodriguez
David Wright
Elvis Andrus
Alex Gordon
Curtis Granderson
Matt Holliday

A 3B would be very nice, especially Lawrie or Wright. Posey has some merit in a 20 team league. All of the OF are pretty good, as are Price and Lee (compared to the other SP available).

How is Kipnis on your list? Especially considering you completely left off Phillips. Phillips is like what Kipnis wishes he could be.

Granderson and Wright are easily the two best left. Lawrie if one of them is taken.

Good picks but probably too early to tell who to pick. Or give us a run down of who has been taken/is left.

That is a good point. I must have overlooked Phillips. :-o

I would do this. Much easier for everyone this way. Tough to say who to add when the list is large. As it narrows down (and we see who you are selecting), the choices become easier.
