I'm in the midst of a rebuilding process in a large dynasty league. I've already stockpiled a pool of raw and high upside talent, but still have another year or so to unload aging veterans (Holliday, Choo, Victorino, Wainwright, Jered, etc.) for younger players with upside.

One owner has Heyward and I've been targeting him for nearly half a year. He's a stickler when it comes to making trades, and has a reputation for taking advantage of his trading partners. This is where I need yall to step in.

He has interest in Holliday and Wainwright. I have interest in Heyward. He doesn't have a RF. My only RF is Choo. His only LF is Delmon. Commence the latest trade offer:

His Delmon/Ubaldo for my Holliday/prospect

Now, before I even start, I should mention I am not high on Delmon Young. I think he's an average fantasy contributor, and while 6 years younger than Holliday, has minimal upside for a rebuilding team like mine. Ubaldo is an intriguing addition, as he is young, and has #2 upside. However, I feel like my #1 priority at this point is hitting. I have a lot of raw hitting talent in the minors, but...I don't have to explain prospects...

I probably wouldn't give more than a Britton/Tejeda/Mitchell if I were to actually pull the trigger on this deal, and I am still hesitant to move Holliday without landing a player with more potential like Heyward.

That sums it up for me. You are selling low on Holliday with this deal. You can get someone better or 2-3 decent younger players for him IMO. Young and Ubaldo doesn't even come close.

I believe we just had a sell low on Holliday and get back players you don't really want in return post not too long ago. I'm of the belief you only do trades you really want to make, if its a 50-50 you pass. I don't think this is even close to 50-50

Agreed. Really not a good deal for Holliday. Holliday still has some productive years ahead of him, I'm not sure why so many people are interested in trading him away lately.

He is one of the best OF and in a 20 team league he should have more value than an average SP and a below average OF.

Keep Holliday for sure here. And I wouldn't even mess with that owner, he sounds like a dickhead.

You should be able to get a better keeper stock influx in moving Holliday to a contender (either now or in season trade deadline) you are selling far too low given your intentions
