I need a short term replament for Howard. Who would be the better guy to trade for, to play 1b while Howard is out? Berkman or Cuddyer?

I would take Cuddyer, even though Berkman could be more productive. Reasons being once Howard comes back you could then play Cuddyer at various positions. And if not a starter, a good bench player to have. I also think he carries less chance of injury compared to Berkman too. Wouldn't want your replacement for Howard getting injured while he's on the DL.

Hmmmm, tough one.

I'd probably rather have Berkman to cover the spot with Howard out, but may rather have Cuddyer on my roster for the season for the flexibility.

Does that make sense? :*)
