Joe Nathan. Will he be the closer?

Talks have been the Twins would bring in a closer and make Nathan a setup man. Could that be a possibility? Romero, Rincon, and even Balfour are all good setup men. Would it be ok to trade now for Nathan?

I think it would be fine to trade for Nathan. Im not sure that the Twins would be willing to give up very much cash to bring in a closer.

There's not much left out there to replace Nathan with. Urbina was the rumored closer for them to bring in. I think he's a safe bet.

Although......where's John Rocker these days? :-?

Nathan = good spring.....not great.....but not nearly bad enough for the Twins braintrust to advise the club going with another current Twin (ala Crain). Also, with Urbina signed elsewhere (detroit), I really don't see the club signing anyone for the role, plus that would make Pohlad have to open his wallet, which must be covered with dust.

Trade for him. He should be solid.

If anyone knows anything about Joe Nathan, it would be Joe Mauer!
