Feh, I would do it if you needed a closer. You say it's only for 2012, right? Well, I don't see Vogelsong, Williams, or Viciedo doing anything truly impressive this year. I say go ahead and get a guy who could at least hang onto the job and get 20 saves, as well as a decent bat in Thames (Eric Thames, not Marcus Thames I presume).

Agree with spuds. It's not like you're giving up much. In a 14 team league, those 20 odd saves can mean a few poits in the standings. I'm also a fan of what Thames can do, so if you use 5 OF or a few Util spots, he could be helpful as well. Vogelsong scares me.
