Dee Gordon or Ryan Roberts?

I have a chance to grab Dee Gordon in my Keeper league. We keep 16 and Ryan Roberts and Jason Motte were my last two keepers. I have Jose Reyes as a SS and feel Dee could be a good handcuff and possible UT player for instead of Roberts. The only other option would be to consider cutting Russel Martin as my catcher. I like the SBs possibility. Its a h2h league and its possible to get him in our 9 round re-draft. Would you do it? Most likely it would involve minor league draft picks or my already listed cut players. But like I said I would need to make room.

I think I would rather have Roberts/Motte than Gordon right now. Dropping Martin for Gordon is worth considering. I am not a fan of Martin and think he played over his head last year. I think there are better options even in a league where you keep 16. But I would also be fine just trying to get Gordon in the draft although I think it would be easier to get Martin in the draft than Gordon.

I agree with this. Gordon over Martin is something to think about. Then you have a backup SS who can steal bases if/when Reyes goes down (one of your primary SB guys).

I agree with this. Gordon over Martin is something to think about. Then you have a backup SS who can steal bases if/when Reyes goes down (one of your primary SB guys).

I think that move looks okay. I'm just not sure I'd want a backup SS over a starting catcher. I will say that I'm not particularly high on Gordon. Though since your starting SS is Reyes it makes sense to have a backup.

Agrre with the others in going with Dee over Martin. C should be easier to fill in the draft and Gordon could make for a good keeper going forward in a league where you keep 16.
