This is a big trade with big implications. For me, this is a timing thing. I think Miggy/Panda gives you a better shot for this year, maybe the next two years. I think the long haul heavily favors Upton/Jennings, though.

FWIW I think Justin Upton is probably the most valuable player in the game in a keeper/dynasty.

Should I do it or hold on for the future?

Just to be clear too, if I do this deal the only player I could keep next year would be Weeks and the other guy could keep Jennings and Sanchez if he chose. Please help!

Just thought I would throw in to this thread that I was also offered Michael Young for Craig Kimbrel from another owner. What do you think about this? My first thought is no because I really feel like Kimbrel may be the best closer in baseball. What if I offered him Motte for Young? Is it worth it? I could also maybe ask him to throw someone else in with Young for Kimbrel. Any thoughts much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know what this other owner has in players, but I just traded my Kimbrel for Jason Heyward. Being a keeper league, I would want some young talent in return rather than an aging veteran, but that's just me though. I wouldn't be opposed to moving Upton straight up for Miggy, especially if you could get an up-and-coming star OF'er for Kimbrel to replace Upton.

I would only settle for what you really want. Seems like he's dictating all the terms and I would not do that deal as you currently present it.

Now I am working on a deal with the guy who wants Kimbrel AND the guy who wants Upton. How about this: I was thinking of trading Upton straight up for Miggy and then move Kimbrel and a second piece for Stanton or CarGO to replace Upton in the OF. What do you guys think about this idea and who would you add to Kimbrel to get CarGo or Stanton?
