Dynasty league h2h with standard categories plus ops and holds.
Draft underway-- two rounds left, I have six picks. Then a 15 round minor league draft.
Here is my current team:
C Brian McCann 1B Prince Fielder 2B Robinson Cano 3B Pablo Sandoval SS Starlin Castro LF Howie Kendrick (2B, LF) CF Alejandro de Aza RF Lance Berkman (1B, LF, RF) OF U Hanley Ramirez SP Clayton Kershaw SP Zack Greinke SP Daniel Hudson SP Randy Wolf SP RP Jose Valverde RP Rafael Betancourt RP Fautino de los Santos P P BN Mike Moustakas BN Alexei Ramirez BN Michael Young BN BN
I am planning on picking up a couple of pitchers in my next two or three picks.
Current trade possibilities (please give input)
Trade A: I get Matt Kemp for Panda and Daniel Hudson. Is this a no-brainer? I am really high on both Panda and Hudson and both are young for a dynasty league, but so is Kemp. This would free up a roster spot so I can put Michael Young at 3B, but my pitching is a bit thin now.
Trade B: Manager wants Cano. I can put Michael Young as 2B. Who should I ask for? His team:
2B Dustin Ackley 3B Brett Lawrie SS Troy Tulowitzki LF Ryan Braun RF Justin Upton OF Colby Rasmus U David Wright SP Mat Latos SP Tommy Hanson SP Brandon Beachy SP Max Scherzer SP Danny Hultzen P Tyler Skaggs P Jarrod Parker BN Bryce Harper (MiLB) BN Jayson Werth BN Shelby Miller (MiLB) BN Dominic Brown BN Zack Cozart
So, who should I ask for for Cano? I was thinking Ackley, Parker, Miller but that doesn't seem very overwhelming for my end, although I like my team well enough that I am not overly concerned with getting the best end of the deal for this year, but would like to beef up my pitching, especially with youth.
I say that for Trade B, you go for the moon and ask for Tulowitzki and Miller. Harp on the fact that Tulo has been banged up off-and-on. See how much he wants Cano. If he doesn't bite, no harm done.

Thanks for the info. Been discussing it with him. He seems more interested in Prince now. As for asking for Tulo, it would add to my logjam but I could trade a SS for pitching, too.
I would definitely do Trade A. Kemp is much, much better than both of those two combined.
For trade B, I agree with requesting Tulo as the backbone of the deal. I would also look into a trade of Ryan Braun and Tommy Hanson. Hopefully he is panicking on the PED suspension and Hanson's injury concerns.
Trade A is a no-brainer for sure. Take Kemp and run.
Trade B ask for anyone, you'd be giving up the #1 2B in baseball. Straight up for Upton or Tulo. Package with Braun/Lawrie/Beachy. Don't undersell someone like Cano. He is worth top round talent, don't settle for prospects.

I agree with this. Though I think my SP target would be Matt Latos. Perhaps Cano for Upton and Latos? If you can sell the position scarcity point, this might be obtainable.
If you do the first trade then I would trade Cano and make sure to get Lawrie in the deal. I am not sure he will be willing to deal any of his big names as most owners who try and get studs are not willing to give up the studs they already own. If you could get Lawire and Upton then it would be great for you. But I would look to make this deal first and see what you can agree to and then look to make the first deal.
