I am in a 16 team 5 x 5 auction ($260 cap) roto league
starting line up C C 1B 2B 3B SS CI MI OF OF OF OF OF UTIL P P P P P P P RP RP
You have to have 2 rp active at all times
I keep 3 but I am keeping Asbrubal Cabrera for sure at $8
The options are
Alex Avila $4
Drew Storen $6
Desmond Jennings $1
Ductin Ackley $1
I am thinking 1 of 2 things
1.) Take my chances with the young studs Ackley and Jennings. They could both have pretty big years and both play positions that get thin in such a big league. Ackley especially. However the weak line up and playing half of his games at Safeco, make me a little cautious on him. Jennings will be a stud for sb for sure. So this could be one way to go and at a combine $2 it is good value
2.) Keep Avila who plays at the thinnest position, especially in a league that requires 2 starting catchers on all 16 teams and Drew Storen. Being required to start 2 RP, closers get expensive during the auction. Last year lower level guys like Kevin Gregg and Leo Nunuez went for over $6 each. Guys like Bell and Rivera went for over $20.
Who do you think would be the best 2 of the 4 to keep?
Thanks for any opinions.

Agree with GF. RP's won't be as hard to come by as C's. Jennings is to good to pass up at that price in a deep league.
Yup! 12 team 2 catcher leagues. If you can get an upper tier-ish catcher at a decent price you do it. I think Avila's avg will drop this season, but he should be very solid otherwise.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I am leaning towards the majority now and going with Avila and Jennings.

Definitely go Avila and Jennings. You can hope to hit a cheap closer replacement on the waiver wire during the year, but a starting catcher will be harder to come by.
Help with mine?
