SP - Jered Weaver (LAA) SP - Adam Wainwright (STL) SP - Trevor Cahill (OAK) SP - Daniel Duffy (KC) SP - Jordan Lyles (HOU) SP - Anibal Sanchez (FLA) RP - Jason Motte (STL) RP - John Axford (MIL) RP - Frank Francisco (TOR) RP - Aaron Crow (KC RP - Rex Brothers (COL) (FARM-ELIGIBLE)
Possible Keepers:
C - Kurt Suzuki (OAK) 1B - Brandon Allen (OAK) CF - Jordan Schafer (ATL)
SP - Paul Maholm (PIT) SP - Garrett Richards (LAA) (FARM-ELIGIBLE) SP - Wade Miley (ARZ) (FARM-ELIGIBLE) RP - Fautino De Los Santos (OAK) (FARM-ELIGIBLE) RP - Steve Cishek (FLA)
So this is my roster at the current point in time. I have decided on 19 of my 22 keepers, so I have 3 more ML keepers to select.
It should be noted that I have four farm-eligible players on my ML roster: Brothers, Richards, Miley and de Los Santos. Rizzo is 2 AB away from losing farm eligibility, so I might as well promote him to the majors now and demote someone (Richards/Brothers).
Of the three remaining keepers, I am leaning towards Suzuki, Maholm, and Richards, with de Los Santos being sent to the farm (would fill up all 15 spots).
What are your thoughts? What would you do at this point?

I would go with Suzuki, Allen, and Schafer. All three of those guys may have something in them to do well this season. Suzuki could bounce back, Allen could finally show his power with a .250 average (hope for that, anyway), and Schafer looks to start in Houston and has some speed.
Maholm is now on the Cubs, who are likely to be terrible. He also has zip for upside. Miley and Cishek are useless. Richards doesn't seem impressive enough to keep around. Go ahead and send De Los Santos to the farm.

Sound reasoning all around, cant argue with any of this.

I view Richards as a legit #3. He has a lot of upside, and although he didn't impress in his debut this past season, his debut was against he Yankees in Yankee Stadium. You have to give a 23 year old the benefit of the doubt. He keeps his BB % low, K% respectable and carried a 3.14/1.173 ratio with 282 Ks in 321 IP in the minors.
At the very least, I would demote Richards and drop a Britton or Tejeda to keep the upside.
Couple other questions:
A manager said he would move Jason Bourgeois for a 3rd round pick (I have 3 picks in the first round, so this pick is useless to me). I would probably keep Bourgeois over Schafer as he has more value and could probably be moved around midseason to someone looking for speed.
A manager said he would move Enny Romero for either Salcedo or Brothers. I'm trying to talk the price down, but I do like Romero and see him as a breakout candidate this season.
A manager has offered Neftali Soto for Garrett Richards.

I wouldn't even consider Suzuki. He has disappointed too many seasons in a row now, imo. I would keep Allen, Schaefer, and Maholm while stinking de Los Santos back on the minor league roster.
Would you move Drake Britton, Jared Mitchell and a 3rd round pick in exchange for Josh Bell and Chris Tillman? (I'm trying to lower the cost to OTejeda in place of Mitchell)
Both prospects I would be offering are among my lowest upside prospects and the 3rd rounder is useless since I have 3 first round picks and only 3 vacant roster spots. Another owner is dropping Bell and Tillman, and I would likely drop Britton and Mitchell when it's time for our minor league draft.
In summary:
Keep JBell, CTillman, Suzuki, BAllen
Demote GRichards, de Los Santos, Brothers
Trade away DBritton (would be cutting anyways)
Trade away JMitchell (would likely be cutting anyways)
Trade away 3rd rounder (would be useless without vacant roster spot)
Drop the following players: Schafer, Maholm, Miley, Cishek
