one clarification, I did say 80% of Choo's numbers, this isn't a straight up comparison.

Problem is that we don't know what either will produce. Rios has been up and down. Choo was consistent until he got injured. Age is on Choo's side, so I'd go with him.

Doubt anyone here realistically believes that Rios could put up those numbers.

I'm not sure I realistically believe Choo could put up those numbers. The two years he's put up a full season's worth of ABs (2009/2010) he had 20 and 22 HR. Career OPS+ .133. The appeal of Choo is that he's a 20/20 guy, but I don't see anything to suggest he's got 30 HR power.

Also, for what it's worth, Rios has a 24 HR season and a 34 SB season. I like Choo more, but if one of them did hit 30 HR I'd put my money on Rios.

Just thought it would be interesting to update this mid-season

Choo = .275/6/24/44/9

Rios = .294/8/36/37/10

who will finish the year with the better numbers?
