Thoughts on correcting a "mistake" pick

In an early slow draft right now

Round 42 owner takes Johnny Gomes last night

16 picks later says it should have been Dellin Betances

"Commish" changes it and says Gomes is available to anyone that picked after BUT the person they drop for Gomes is not available to anyone else who picked in those 16 picks that passed

Thoughts? I mean aside from it being a mess?

No way the commish should have gone back that far and changed a pick. Once that happened it was gonna be a mess no matter what.

It shouldn't have been changed at all. How exactly was it a mistake to take Gomes over Betances? How are the picks submitted? Was it a logistical mistake, i.e. some sort of computer error, or was it the owner simply realized he wanted Betances more than Gomes?

I assume Betances hadn't been picked in those subsequent 16 picks?

IF the change is going to be made, then Gomes needs to be offered to the next pick, and so on. If one of those 16 owners prefers Gomes to his current pick, then the player he's dropping has to be offered to each of the subsequent picks until you get back to where the draft was halted.

Yeah emphasizing how bad it was that the NFBC would do something like this with the money involved and all as in I would be shocked to see something like this in some free public league let along the national championship leagues

I have never heard of an official "National Fantasy Baseball Championship". Anyone can call their league anything. This sounds like some guy that just called his league that.
