I would not agree that Lawrie has more upside. I have seen projections that Lawries's avergae will come down and that he may not run as much. Everyone has Hosmer, over time becoming a 280 25 100 guy. Both are fine . If they were in the same round or at the same price I would take Lawrie for no other reason that lkess 3b to choose from

I'm a little more confident in Hosmer's bat but it's not enough to take him instead of Lawrie. There are a lot of 1Bman and 3B can be a major headache.
