Hosmer v Lawrie in a keeper

Postby Padsin05 » Thu Jan 19, 2012 3:08 pm

I am going back and forth daily on this who is better long term in a keeper.

Hosmer is the better hitter imo, but Lawrie has more upside, and plays in a better hitters park. My 5th keeper comes down to these 2 or Panda/Freeman/Kimbrel

mdp has Hosmer around 61, Lawrie 72, Panda 73, Kimbrel 66

I think that Hosmer is a safer choice. Both guys have round 1 upside. I prefer Hosmer's odds a little better of reaching that point.

This one is tough. It really depends on what you need. A stud 1st baseman or stud 3rd baseman?
Me, personally i'll take the better hitter (hosmer) however lawries potential to provide steals is very enticing

Lawrie is a high risk high reward, but hes a total doosh.

I can only keep 1 of Panda/Lawrie/Hosmer as my other 4 keeps are Verlander, Cano, JUpton and Strasburg

Panda then, though I'd probably keep Hosmer over Strasburg.

Im definitely keeping Stras, hes got more potential then anyone. If I get 160 innings out of him, the low whip era and 200k potential is huge. Plus hes my favorite player in the game today
