He's only 25.
He's finally gotten away from LaRussa, who isn't exactly known for being patient with the development of young hitters.
For all of the accolades LaRussa has, aside from Pujols, what young player has thrived to the point of being an impact player?
He'll be fine. He has too much raw talent to fade away so quickly. I don't see him being the MLB version of Jeff George.

He really doesn't do a lot for me in fantasy tbh. He's young but he needed a .354 BAPIP to hit .276 with 25 HR's and 12 SB's in his good season. I think he's a .250 hitter with <30 HR's and <20 SB's. If he did 30/20 I would be happy but I think those numbers will be lower.

From the little I've seen of Colby last half season he is a complete air head with very little passion or drive to live up to his potential. He reminds me of Alex Rios. With that said I'm hopeful that a change of scenery and a fresh start will give him some motivation. He's also getting close to his free agent years which might help his apparent lack of motivation.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!
