It's hard to say that the Nationals are primed for a world series run, because it's really hard to say when a team is gonna get over the hump and separate themselves from the pack.. Lots of teams never get there because of some unknown intangible. see: Blue Jays, Mariners, Orioles, Tigers, White Sox, Dodgers .. and Angels and Brewers to an extent. sometimes teams have everything click the moment they have the talent. see: Rangers, Giants, Marlins (twice)

But, I have to say that it appears that the Nationals are making all the right moves to out a truly dominant squad on the field in 2014-2015. There gonna need another power bat and another all-around bat, and they'll need to upgrade the bottom of the rotation.. but, if they pick up Prince this year, the rest should be easy. especially if Bryce becomes that all-around bat they need.

This is true and most of the teams you listed don't ever seem to be able to put it all together. The White Sox did win the World Series in '05 though.

If nothing else, the NL East is starting to look as competitive as the AL East.
