My revamped pitching staff

12 team keeper league. What do you guys think? Obviously Bedard and Noesi aren't anything to get excited about, but there isn't really much left to like in free agency, unless there are some sleepers someone can think of. How is my pitching?

Love your Top 4 plus the Ks Norris will give you. I imagine you'll end up dropping the latter three during the season unless its a really deep keeper.

I think you have a very solid staff for a 12 team league. Cliff Lee is an elite top 5 pitcher, so that is a great start. Matt Cain and Jered Weaver are great front end guys too. And you have Matt Latos as your 4th guy, who is an extremely good long term option IMO and could be a top 10 SP for years if he hits his ceiling.

I think both Luebke and Norris have some upside as well. Not in the same class as the top 4, but definitely guys who can help your squad.

Eric Bedard is a good guy to have. Sure, he will be injured several times, but he generally pitches well when he isn't on the DL. And if you league has a DL spot, you can store him there when he inevitably gets hurt.

The other guys are meh at this point. Easy to drop since the rest of your staff is so strong.

I wonder what your hitting looks like...

My lineup is

C- Posey
1B- Howard
2nd- Uggla
SS- Tulo
3rd- Pablo
OF/UT
-Pence
-Stanton
-Ethier
-Crisp
-Stubbs
-Gordon

Closers:
- Putz
- Guerra and Jansen
- Francisco

How does that look in a 12 team league?

Hard to say without knowing what FA are out there. But I would agree for a 12 team league you have some solid talent in that rotation.

Are there any up and coming arms available in the FA pool? First one that comes to mind would be Matt Moore (TB). Should have a solid year, even as a rookie.

A lot of the rookies are stashed away. Guys like Robbie Erlin, Alex White, Garrett Richards, and Chris Tillman are there, but I really don't see much in any of them but maybe Erlin and White

In that case, I think you have an excellent team. Don't fix something that isn't broken.

No problem. I think you have a very good team. Your hitting is very good as well. Tulo, Stanton, Posey, Pablo, and Pence are all great. The only "need" you have (which isn't that much of a need) is a replacement for Howard until he comes back from injury. It wouldn't be a bad idea to trade one of those extra OF for a 1B as insurance for Howard.

Just don't do what the Phils did and pick up Thome as the replacement.
