I'm typically not taking any pitcher in the 3rd round. It would really depend where he is being drafted in relation to other SP. There's a small handful of guys I would take before him, but the list isn't very long.

I'm amazed to see Longoria going in the first round. You're basically buying his September and upside while trying to forget his injury, batting average, and lack of speed. Could he put up First-Round numbers? Sure, but I think he's got a red flag as big as Ellsbury or Verlander.

Longoria had 30 and 100 even with a DL stint and extreme bad luck with BABIP. As far as speed goes, he should still be around 5-8 stolen bases which is better them most 3rd basemen. If his BABIP goes up 80 to 100 points, which it very well could this year, what kind of year could he have?
