Is it better to have someone who hits 30 homers having a .270 avg with 100 rbi compared to someone who hits 45 homers with a .230 avg and 110 rbi. I know ti depends on what you have on your team for offense....I will list mine below.
I guess what I am asking how many 30+ homerun guys should you have on your team in a 10 team head to head league?
Is somone like Burnitz worth keeping on your team with his crappy batting average?
I have done tweaking to my team and this is my last concern....to me Burnitz is a specialist..I am thinking I would be better served having someone else on the bench.

If you are thinking about Burnitz, I would not have that bum taking up a roster spot on my team. Yes, he will kill BA if you are rotisserie--the thin air in Denver will not help out a guy who can't make contact.

I agree with Stumpak. I think Burnitz may get a few more homers in Colorado, but by the end of the year they should only prove to be a small percentage of all your home runs. It's just not worth the risk to your BA.
It looks like you have a fair amount of power. You might try to deal him to a believer for someone you need, for backup or a cat. you feel your lacking or for someone with a lot of upside. Or just drop him and pick up a sleeper to hold on to like Gerut or something.

I guess I am in the minority. I think that Burnitz is gonna thrive in Denver. without the bright lights of NY and LA burning down on him, I bet he hits 40+ with a respectable .255 average. Look at his numbers in small market Milwaukee. The guy just could not handle the NY limelight.

I am believer in Burnitz too, just not on the road. I think he has a lot of value as a platoon player only getting his home starts. He could very easily hit 25 HRs in 81 games at home, and in Coors his BA will be at least 260 (notice I said in Coors, on the road it will be worse).
Keep him on the bench for his road games and I think you are all set. You can use Millar or someone else for the other games.

Burnitz is my sleeper to hit 50.
