I know people that have done the Warrior Dash and say that the obstacles are kind of dinky. I would really like to do this but I don't want to injure myself and miss a real race. The timing has never worked out for me before because the mudder has always been around the time of my marathons. This year I am doing the Savannah marathon. That's not until Nov 3. The Toronto Tough Mudder is on Aug 18 so I might be able to do it, get injured and still recover in time for Savannah.
Tell me how it goes and I just might risk it this year. Post some pics too

I play a lot of soccer, so my cardio is OK, but I've started doing Insanity since I hate road/treadmill running. It's pretty brutal cardio-wise, so I feel like it should get me ready to go. I've also gone through P90X twice and plan on starting P90X2 once I finish the Insanity program next month.

Not at your age
Tell me about it. Took me over a year to get over a separated shoulder.

nice.. a couple weeks before me. do you have anything specific in mind for training?
Is the distance going to be an issue? You should first make sure that you can do 11m and still have something left in the tank. Also, this is trail running. Different than a road course. You should probably get trail shoes with more support and a trail tread. The only obstacle that looks to be a challenge is the monkey bars. It looks like about 20 yards of monkey bars. I will probably just drop down to the water half way through before my arms get pulled out of their sockets.
