take this for what it's worth, but I watched an Aubrey Huff interview on MLB network and he says he trained his A$$ off this winter and is in the best shape of his life.
this is apparently due to allegations from team management that Huff was out of shape last yr.

This is typically just banter made by players/coaches/agents and its usually nonsense and has nothing to do with expected performance. A memorable/funny one from several ears back was about Jeff Francoeur being 'country strong' or something like that.

It's possible . I'm in a deep dynasty league ( 20 team , 30 players ) and I like to watch for former good prospects who others have given up on , since in that league most of the top young prospects are owned. I call them late bloomers . Some prospects just seem to need more time to mature or develop. Brandon Phillips and Nelson Cruz are 2 players that I snatched after others gave up on them. I also made the mistake of dropping Miguel Montero who I gave up on . So yes it's possible about Kila . Depending on the size of league , he could be a watch list candidate.

For how much he's going to cost (practically nothing), he's well worth a gamble - he still has the starting 1B job as of now. This is a thread about sleepers isn't it?
I think he was carrying an injury in late 2009/start of 2010, so you can give him a partial mulligan for those seasons.

Big logjam between Kila, C.Carter, B.Allen and D.Barton. I'm thinking one of those guys gets traded/cut.
Make that Kila, Chris Carter, brandon Allen, Seth Smith, Cowgill, Reddick, Barton, Michael Taylor and Coco Crisp all battling for 5 spots
Right now it looks like: Smith in LF, Crisp in CF, Reddick in RF, Barton at 1b for now (though battling with Carter/Allen) Cowgill at a 4th OF Brandon Allen and Chris Carter fighting for DH Michael Taylor sitting in AAA again Michael Choice and Grant Green getting closer Kila the odd man out. I would not draft him unless I'm in like a 24+ team league. He's 27 already and I think the window has passed to provide any real value.
