Which sites can host Salary Cap leagues?

Postby Tex34 » Sat Jan 07, 2012 7:16 pm

I'd like to start a salary cap league, but I can't find any hosts. A salary cap league would essentially be like an auction league, except the draft/FAAB values would "stick" to the players during the season and the team would have a cap for their entire roster. If you traded a player, his value would go with him like a contract. The only way a player's value would reset is if he is cut and drafted/FAABed again.

Make sense? Thanks!

That sounds like a normal Auction League to me. We use CBS. It has everything that you need. Fantrax is new and I believe they have the FAAB also.

Oh, the last auction league I was in you got a "Draft Budget" and a "Free Agent Budget," but it wasn't a true salary cap league. For example, say you drafted Pujols at $49, once the season started that number didn't matter. Dropping or trading him didn't clear "cap space."

I would recommend Fantrax, but I also heard My Fantasy League can be used. I was in a NFL league that used it. I think its only $50, but was kinda cumbersome to use. I think they do MLB also.
