So what's everyone's take on me taking Darvish #1? Was he the definitive pick there? I took him obviously for his immediate impact, but I'm more of an MiLB guy and I don't know all that much about many of the imports. With all the hype, I decided to take him over other guys that I felt much more comfortable about.

For immediate help, no one better.
He who knows not and knows not he knows not: he is a fool - shun him. He who knows not and knows he knows not: he is simple - teach him. He who knows and knows not he knows: he is asleep - wake him. He who knows and knows he knows: he is wise - follow him

I would have done the same thing, which certainly shouldn't be surprising, given my propensity to go for players who can make impacts ASAP. If there was a Bryce Harper like player out there, it might not have been the best idea to take Darvish, but there's not really a player to that level IMO, so Darvish is the way to go.
You've got more kahunas than I do! He was available in another league I'm in AND had 1st pick. I traded it away rather than make the choice. High risk, high reward. Good luck!

Let's keep this thing moving. TD, it's been well over 24 hours - go for it.
Pick made, PM sent: my work here is done.
