What are we 4 years into this league now? I was just wondering what people thoughts were on their best minor league pickups throughout the years.

Mine's pretty easy, Joey Votto from our first minor league draft. If I recall, Jay Bruce went right in front of me and I was pretty upset about it at the time. I also had Melancon as a minor league pickup when he got called up with the yanks which I was pretty pumped about until Bailey went to BOS. I vaguely recall Gio Gonzalez being a minor league draft pick of mine but I can't confirm.

My worst? Pedro Alvarez...thbbbt

McCutchen (2.07 '08) was pretty good for me (dealt this year for Kershaw). My best FA pickup was probably CarGo - just sitting there at the end of the only season I didn't win the regular standings.

EDIT: Posey wasn't bad either, drafted in at 2.1 in '09.
EDIT: ...nor was HellBoy at 4.1 in '09.

My best FA pickup has got to be Pedroia in season 1. As for minors pickups, I'll go with Worley or Beachy, who both helped me a lot last year.
