Keep or Trade?

Postby bigguy1551 » Fri Jan 06, 2012 3:48 pm

I'm in a deep 10 team league, with screwy rules. We have 16 act hitters with 2 at each position (the 6 OFs can play any field) with res roster 1/2 of act. 10 act. pitchers, 6 SP, 2 RP, 2 AP with 1/2 in res. This year we keep 13 and drop 1 more each year and have a complete redraft every 5 years. This is our 2nd year. standard 1-10 points per category. Now it gets a little strange. We decided to give this a try...5x5 with OBP added, figuring we have more hitters why not 1 more hitting cat. Dont know if it will be permanant but its here until next complete redraft.
I won last year with a killer pitching staff. Rosters due 3rd Sunday in Feb.
Off season i traded King Felix and Prado for Kemp to solidify my OF.
My tentative protected roster is:
Berkman 1B
Zobrist 2B/OF
Aramis Ramirez 3B
Tulowitzki SS
Kemp OF
Victorino OF
Melky Cabrera OF
Verlander SP
Sabathia SP
Strasburg SP
Romero SP
And 2 from this list:
Mauer C Hate to think i wasted my 3rd round pick last year
Howard 1B Havent heard much besides "Progressing Nicely"
Kendrick 2B/OF Versatile and not a bad #2 2B
Cueto SP Is he for real? Probably not as good as last year...but as a 5th starter?
Moore RP/SP Love the fact i can use him as RP. Looks like a K machine.
I can trade Moore for Logan Morrison and Madson. Probably wouldnt keep Madson but might be able to trade him.
Would you in effect trade Moore for Morrison if i cant move Madson?
Without the trade, leaning towards Cueto and Moore, with it Morrison and Cueto

I wouldn't trade Moore for Morrison to begin with.

Moore and Mauer. Too much to worry about Howard plus he has been declining for years. Also no chance I trade Moore.
