Brief league description
-Start with the real life major and minor league roster along with their payroll
-Draft the 10 remaining unowned team's minor and major league players
-full keeper league, with contracts and payroll
-Roto league standard 5x5
-team can gain or lose salary based upon their performance (this gives everybody a chance long term)
More detailed rules will be listed on the leagues website which will be up and running. To preview the site ask me for the address. I won't list it here.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are only looking for the very best players for this league. You might be a good fit if you:
-have vast knowledge of both minor and major league players
-understand the concept of managing not only talent but payroll and contracts
-have played in leagues like this before
-can respond to emails at least within in a 24 hour period
-can make a multiple year commitment to the league (please no mortaging the future for one season and then abandoning the team)
ABOUT ME:
I have run and played in many leagues like this.
I have experience using the necessary websites and message boards.
I have my own site which will be used to list salaries
I'm tired of leagues where half the teams are inactive by midseason so I'm going to give $20 out of my own pocket to the winner. Not much but considering its free to play it's not bad. Leagues like this require hours upon hours of site updating, message board running and emails so while I'm willing to put in the work, I want to make sure its for a fun active league with smart players.
WHY LEAGUES LIKE THIS FAIL?
-Biggest key to this is the initial startup. The biggest mistake commishes make is letting just anybody sign up. What happens is half the people don't know what they are doing and/or become inactive. This leads to an unbalanced, uncompetative league that never recovers. I'm going to try and prevent this by pre screening potential owners with an application. Please know that if you are chosen you will be among 19 other knowledgable, passionate owners. This will be a slow process. So if you are interested please message me at kchong7125@gmail.com with the following application copied and pasted in with your answers. If you were able to read all of this and answer the questionaire with reasonable answers I'd call it a good start.
