I agree. You're getting a good return in value and it makes your team better, but I'm willing to bet there are ways to make your team just as good at a more reasonable price. I'm assuming salaries increase every year? If you let yourself take on too many bad contracts you can put yourself in a terrible situation where you can't contend and can't get decent value for your players.

There has to be a better way to improve you team than spending so much on a few select non-star players. Not knocking the players, but they aren't top guys.

Lincecum at that price is too good to trade away for second level players at their current price. I would hang on to Timmy.

I dont think i would do it. lincecum is a stud pitcher across the board. Spending that much of your budget for tier 2 or 3 players is too much.

Thanks for advice everyone I choose to reject the offer. I looked over everyones team and decided that there will be plenty OFers to be bid on and not SP.
