What should I focus on?

Postby beisbol4ever94928 » Fri Dec 23, 2011 8:25 am

18 team h2h league with 9x9 scoring categories. Categories are: R, RBI, HR, SB, BA, doubles, triples, walks and strikeouts AND W, ERA, WHIP, Saves, strikeouts, quality starts, holds, HR, losses.

This is a dynasty league and here is my team so far

C McCann
1B Goldschmidt
2B Cano
3B Sandoval
SS Rollins
LF: Jose Tabata
CF: Shane Victorino
RF:
OF: Austin Jackson
U:

SP (4): Felix Hernandez, Stephen Strasburg, Daniel Hudson
RP (4):
P (2):
BN (5):

My question is what should I be focusing on? Should I get some relievers now>? Another good SP? Prospects?

Closers available are: Mariano, Putz, Marmol, Soria, Valverde etc.
SP available: Carpenter, Luebke, Hudson, Garza, Beckett, Sale
RF available: Markakis, Ichiro, Duda, Swisher

The draft is currently on hold until after the holidays, so thought I would get some input.

I would look for a bat. You seem to need another one.
Please help me with analyzing my team? viewtopic.php?f=29&t=433592

I think I would take Garza here. Kind of surprised he is still available. With the names you have listed for closers, it looks like there is still a good amount of them available. I would look at grabbing one of them as well but I wouldn't be as worried about it quite yet though by the next round that might change.

Yeah, Garza looks like the best of the group you listed. Unless there is some great hitter out there that you didn't list, I would take Garza.

I'd take Markakis next, Swisher if you miss out. then more pitching before you think about prospects. I'd also want a HR hitter for your final hitting spot when you fill that

Another vote for Markakis. Then pitching: Garza, Lubeke, Sale in that order. Then prospects. Then RP.

Garza is the easy call right here. You do need power, but Swisher and Duda should be there next round. Garza won't be.

Probably Swisher now.

I would hold off on RP until at least half start coming off the board.

Carpenter would most certainly help you this year. Maybe a few good seasons. Would be a nice addition to your SP staff, though not the best dynasty guy.
