Yeah I was convinced to not punt. In round 15 i got Mariano, in round 16 i got putz and round 17 just for kicks I got Farnsworth, so I think im set there.

I'm in a deep dynasty league ( 20 team , 30 man roster ) I try to have a closer , but my biggest thing is to try and have backup position players for each position. Depending on roster size, there may not be any free agents who start . When you get an injury , you'll have a player to stick in your lineup. I usually get relief pitchers when I have players go on the DL. There's always some hold candidates who are available.

I would never punt any category unless it became an absolute necessity during a season. Definitely not anything I would ever plan intentionally.
