Xander Bogaerts is only 19 and is currently playing shortstop (he projects to outgrow that position). He will not be ready for the majors for years, but his ceiling is sky high. Just wanted to give those of you with deep farm systems a heads up. Anyone have any thoughts on this kid?

Why? Really, Why? There was no good reason for a topic like this. Last thing I need is a league mate to get wind of him. He is one of the top guys on my list for this years minor league draft. Really hoping everyone gets swept up in last years draft class and forgot to look at the guys that weren't drafted.

Someone in my 15 team league already has him as a minor league keeper from last year. Wouldn't move him this off-season for anything. He's out there and people are catching wind of him so grab him while you can.
I'm lucky I found out about him this summer in my 24 tm league. Hopefully ARod can hold down the fort long enough for Bogaerts to come up.
I think he'll end up at 3B but he's one of my favorite non 1B IF prospects. These seem very difficult to find in dynasties. I also grabbed Schoop but he doesn't have the same kind of upside (not even close).

ok, he's #3 on soxprospects.com list.
Nobody would have thought that coming last year, which featured a very strong Sox system, possibly the strongest since Lester/Papelbon graduated. Bogaerts didn't even have that great of a year. Unfortunately the top guys either got traded(Rizzo), graduated(Reddick), got hurt(Kalish) or underwhelmed considerably(Iglesias). I'm not sure if it was Red Sox hype or not, but last year's Red Sox farm has to be one of the more disappointing systems out of the 30 teams. The Royals were close, but at least Hosmer did well.
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.

Not to hijack but I never understood why Iglesias was/is so hyped. Glove first, no bat SS sounds like Jack Wilson to me.
