Chicagoland AL only league needs 1 replacement owner

10 team 5x5 Ultra(17 man reserve roster) roto. $250 initial league fee plus additional fees for FAAB and trades. The available team finished second in 2011 and has a number of attractive keepers like Jesus Montero($5), Ben Zobrist($8), Matt Joyce($3), Brandon League($6) and Gio Gonzalez($1). There is no limit on reserve roster keepers, so if you like to build for the future with MiLB, college and Japanese players, this is the league for you.

i always find it funny when established leagues ask "new" owners to pay. Esp 250.00 If anything, the "new" owner should be given a free ride the 1st year.

Any thoughts?

There are plenty of free leagues out there but the level of competition is usually weak and owners often lose interest and stop managing their teams well before the end of the season. I play in a few leagues that are significantly more expensive than this one.

True, but what i am saying is your expecting someone to take over possibly a BAD team and still pay 250.00. It may take 2-3 years to undue the damage what was left. At the very least, give the new owner a free ride the 1st year to establish himself. ;-D

The 2011 winner was in his first season after taking over a team. If the available team for 2012 was truly barren of any talent, a discount might have to be considered but that really isn't the case.
