just get it for the PC, it allows you to skip past the inevitable bugs you'll encounter. i would have gotten stuck at a couple places if i couldn't have opened the console and forced my way passed them.

my laptop only has a 1.6 Ghz processor, you need at least 2 to run it. And a PS3 is cheaper than a new laptop.
For the fat slob in your life, get them 6 Big Macs and 6 fries for $13... I think this will be what I give whoever I get for Secret Santa at work this year... if I don't like that person.

My sister in law always gets these for my daughter. The fine print is you can only use one at a time so I end up going inside for the burger and using the drive through for the fries.
Skin Blues wrote:Remote car starter is something I'm thinking of asking for, too. Also, an Espresso maker. Girlfriend has a Tassimo thing and says "It makes espresso, idiot!" but it's really not that good and thsoe discs are damn expensive. So also I might ask for espresso cups, tamper, grinder... all that good stuff. We just moved into a new apartment so we could use things like a futon, lamp, uhh... I don't know, other apartment-y things. Dishes and cutlery (we're using her stuff but it sucks). Key rack to hang on the wall. Hamper. God when did my life get so boring...
Get an Aeropress. Best espresso maker ever and it's only 25 bucks.
So by the time my sister got around to buying the espresso maker I wanted, it was sold out. Looked around for another one <$100 and found nothing good. So, Aeropress it is. There are a few problems with it, like having to pre-heat the water, filter removes some of the oils, and no steam wand obviously. But I have a handheld milk frother so I should still be able to make my dainty capuccinos.
Still trying to think of other things to ask for that I haven't already bought for myself...
Yeah, preheating is the drawback, but I wouldn't worry too much about losing anything through the filter. You could buy a water boiler if you need it for somewhere that isn't around a stove and you'd still be spending about $100 on what a $1000 machine can do.
