yeah, I think you're overrating Goldschmidt, Ackley and to a lesser extent Avila. If you're willing to go to 25 on Lee, then I would second Raiders Umpire's advice. If you aren't willing to go that route, a $9 Alex Gordon isn't a bad option either. It's only $1 more than Goldschmidt or Ackley, and he's at least done it once in a full season.

I may be over reaching with Goldschmidt, but I like Avila alot and he is cheap, and 2b has been the bane of my FBB existence so I like Ackley alot as well as he would stabilize at a cheap price, we have a $260 cap and Longoria is a little over priced for me, I might drop Gold for McCutcheon or stubbs

And it'd likely continue as you're completely overvaluing Ackley here.

If you're set on dumping Longo as you're committed to penny-pinching, I'd definitely go:

Price, Strasburg, Shields, McCutch, Stanton, Gordon and Avila.

I think those 6 are auto-keeps. Those are all great value, especially Stanton at $16 which is an absolute steal. Just wait - even when he goes up to $21 and $26 in the next couple years you'll want to keep him. He's that good.

For the last spot you can go a few different directions. These keepers give you a great SP/OF core so I'd want to address in infield. Avila for $8 isn't bad. Cliff Lee I could see, too, but he isn't likely to drastically outperform that price and you're already keeping 3 pitchers. As much as I hate to admit it, you ARE overvaluing Ackley. As far as fantasy goes, he'll be good, not great. Way more Martin Prado than Chase Utley. That's what I think, anyway. Longoria at $41 seems fair to me, perhaps more than fair - could be a decent value. If you really want to save money, though, I can see why you want to avoid him. Hard to throw back 1st round talent, though.

I absolutely love Ackley. He has been one of my favorite UNC baseball players of all time, but I honestly would not expect any more then 12 homers and 12 steals next year.
