Considering he just had the best season of his career, it looks quite far away. I doubt that will you stop you, though. If it's not Bumgarner, it will be someone else. Maybe Timmy ends his two year decline in 2012 and comes back with a vengeance.

Considering how ridiculously good of a season bumgarner had at 21 years old, and the fact that halladay will be 35, it hardly looks all that far away.

Perhaps you didn't see how other recent future HOF guys like RJ, Maddux, and Clemens pitched in their late 30s. Halladay is going to be just fine.

I admit, though, Kershaw and Strasburg has the talent to overtake him soon if they stay healthy. Bumgarner? Nah, not too worried.
