For those of you who need to deal with salaries in-season (salary caps, keeper status, etc.), how do you do it if you're not using CBS Sportsline? This is a big sticking point for my league next season- we all intensely dislike CBS, but a salary cap is pretty well baked into our constitution.
My league has used CBS for four years and we all like it. I am curious what your league does not like about it. Other than a few minor things, I don't have a complaint at all.
I've gone off on my dislike for Sportsline's interface a few times in this forum. Without rehashing everything, I find their UI badly designed, their mobile support terrible, and there are too many "quirks" in how they handle rosters. The app's age and roots as an H2H Football system that was ported over are painfully apparent. It's tolerable in my weekly H2H points league, but it just feels wrong when running a Roto league (weekly periods? wha?). For the money we're paying, I'd rather they keep the stupid bobblehead and invest in a redesign.
No, we have daily rosters, but they impose this completely artificial "scoring period" on top of it that is completely meaningless, but clearly a relic of its football (weekly) roots.
Yea the "Weekly Scoring Period" doesn't mean anything. I guess it is good if you want to find out how a batter has done over the past three weeks. I usually just ignore it.
There was a site I looked at last year, Fantrax.com -- They were just getting everything installed but I have not looked at them since. When spring rolls around you might try them. Last year they had planned to make it track salaries and pretty much everything.
