I really like The Newsroom. I had caught the first 3 episodes when they originally aired and decided that I didn't care for the Jim/Ben/Maggie and Mack/Will love clutter, but I really enjoy the sensationalized behind the scenes 'news' stuff. I watched the final 7 episodes of Season 1 On Demand and caught the Season 2 premiere last week. Going to definitely continue watching.

- Maggie might be the ugliest, most annoying female character on television
- Every time I look at Jeff Daniels I still see Harry from Dumb & Dumber
- I'm very interested to see what types of twists and turns the show has in store for some of the more recent big news events/tragedies such as the Aurora shooting, Newtown shootings and Boston Bombing. Maybe that's a bit morbid, but for me seeing the faux behind the scenes stuff there is what really draws me in. Also less catastrophic events like the election, etc.

OK here are the shows that I'm either catching up on or waiting to come back:

Breaking bad
Shameless
Dexter
Ray Donavan
Bar Rescue (lol)
Homeland

Showtime blows all other networks out of the water IMO. It's not even close at this point.

Also not a fan of GOT. Basically 45 minutes of talking around a camp fire, 5 minutes of a fight scene, 5 minutes of a dragon flying.

Best show you can watch right now on TV and enjoy every minute of it is Shameless.

Not a fan of GoT? I don't understand how that's possible. Your summary of it is ridiculous.

Also I'm done with Dexter. Last season sucked and *SPOILER* below:

I can't deal with the whole Deb being in love with Dexter crap, it creeps me out.

I really did try to get into GoT it's just way too slow. Most of the episode is waiting for something to actually happen. Watching Dexter I'm actually entertained. Shameless takes it to a different level though. Every scene is ither shocking or hilarious.

tried to watch Shameless. It blows and is boring. Lots of characters to try to carry a tv series by just throwing wild and wacky antics on the wall.

HBO = much gooder

I have never met one person that doesn't like Shameless? Must be the age of the viewer (I'm mid 20's)

Showtime now has: Dexter, Shameless, Homeland, Ray Donavank, Weeds, Californication,

HBO: Girls?, GoT, Boardwalk? But that's fallen off, True Blood

In terms of quality I don't think there is anyone that can match up with AMC right now.
