How to distribute league winnings

I'm in a 10-team league, ESPN H2H points. The entrance fee is $100 per player.

We're looking for some creative ways to spread out the winnings money. A first suggestion was to give the playoff winner $400, the playoff runner-up $200, and the regular season winner $400.

It basically gives everyone an incentive to stay interested all year long, so we thought it might be worth giving a shot.

Does anyone have any fresh ideas on a clever way to spread out the money? Feel free to share how your league does it or whatever. Not necessarily looking for an innovative system to manage the money, we're just kicking the tires on trying something new.

I assume you have two five team divisions with the two division winners and four wild cards making the playoffs. == The two division winners get $100 each and a bye to the second round of the playoffs. The two first round playoff winners get $100 each. The two second round playoff winners get $200 each. The Championship Game winner gets $200 dollars. This gives the Champ $500 and gives four players money. It doesn't need to be spread out any more than that.
